Hi there! My name is Hajar; I am an international student from Morocco. I have been in the US since 2014.
I went to Columbus State Community College in Columbus, Ohio and graduated with an associate degree of Science in May 2017.
I decided then to transfer to the University of Cincinnati. After I met a great adviser from UC, Jason Chambers, during a transfer fair, I started thinking about enrolling here to pursue my bachelor’s degree. Indeed I applied to the Architecture program and got accepted, so here I am a Bearcat as of Fall 2017!
Aside from going to school this semester, I am involved on campus as an International Ambassador, also as a Desk Assistant in Stratford Heights (a dorm here on campus). I love UC’s campus; it is a perfect size. It also has a lot of resources that can make an international student’s experience much smoother than any other campus. The staff and faculty are friendly people and also very helpful.
I have lived in Ohio for three years, specifically Columbus, it has basically become a second home. Cincinnati is a pretty city. Since I have just moved here this summer, I have only seen the shiny sun and the lovely weather. However, Cincinnati has plenty of beautiful areas to sight-see. Here are some places I have been to: Fountain Square, downtown, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and the Roebling Suspension Bridge.
I have yet to explore more great places in Cincinnati and I am looking forward to spend my next 4 or more years in Cincinnati and at the University of Cincinnati!
