During this spring break, we were planning to travel to Washington DC. This is my second time to get to this beautiful city, and unlike other big cities, it gave me a good expression whenever I got there. The whole trips only last 3 days, so it’s kind of busy and full!
We visited many places: The White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, United States Capitol, Supreme Court of the United States and Union Station. ( the order same as slides)
Originally we intended to see cherry blossoms just right during spring break, but unfortunately, it was so cold for the flowering season. Inadvertently, we met the parade for St.Patrick’s day. So lucky! (๑˃́ꇴ˂̀๑)
St.Patrick’s day is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland. Obviously, every person or leprechauns we’ve seen is wearing a green get-up, thus distinguishing them as such in Irish folklore. It’s believed that leprechauns pinch those who aren’t wearing the color, and they wouldn’t approve of their non-green apparel.
